Your Final Project or Paper should focus on a film, person, movement or idea that have made a significant impact on you in the class or that you are interested in looking further into as a research project. If you choose the creative project you must also submit a 1-2 pg. statement (uploaded as a document, not submitted in comments) about the work, outlining your thoughts and process and how it engages with course content. Purpose The purpose of this assignment is to personally explore course content and materials in line with your intellectual, aesthetic and creative interests, opening a space for you to "choose your own adventure" with the content and further your engagement and research into a specific topic. Each student will be assigned 2 peer reviews of classmate's work in order to provide feedback and share ideas. Instructions In an effort to open the final project to be inclusive for different approaches you may choose one of the following types for your Final: 1. 4-6 page paper OR 2. creative project with 1-2 page statement uploaded as a PDF document (not submitted via comment) 3. You are also required to provide a thoughtful and engaged Peer Review to 2 classmate's work For the paper: your paper must be double spaced, 12 point font and a style of your choosing (MLA, APA, footnotes, etc.). Work must be spell and grammar checked and utilize Module Material(s) or an assigned reading in addition to 2 additional academic sources. If your paper if 4 full pages in length this it must be 4 full pages before the Works Cited or any images. Be sure to work with an outline and what you want to say in the paper: what is your topic/thesis - it should be clear from the introductory paragraph. For the creative project: If you are creatively inspired by any of the course content I encourage you to explore it.
